Ok. So. Pre-Fall and Resort collections.

Normal people just don’t understand them.

They don’t get why ‘Resort’ exists, and the difference between Pre-Fall and Fall/Winter. The funny thing is, is that large department stores make a ton of room for these collections because they sell out. I guess you don’t have to get it to wear it?

Anyway, I’m not here to explain what normal citizens think of these collections; I’m here to showcase my favourite looks from Resort 2011. Because lets be honest, without these collections we wouldn’t have Chanel’s extravagant Resort collections to view and without Pre-Fall, we wouldn’t have gotten a glimpse of one of the best jackets ever made: the shearling leather aviation jacket from Burberry’s Pre-Fall 2010 collection (which, was then multiplied many times, in many versions in Burberry’s Fall 2010 collection.) That collection was then named runner up for Best 2010 Fall Collection by style.com, after Alexander McQueen.

God, I love these collections. I love that they are smaller, cohesive, wearable, and understated. I love that we get a small introduction to some huge trends that will follow in Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter.

Ok, so trends for Resort: The 70′s are baccckkk! Pantsuits, jumpsuits, graphic dresses, geometric dresses, prints, maxi dresses and skirts, and BOLD colours!!! Another trend that isn’t 70′s which, I am very sure came from the Oscars is the white dress. It was literally in every collection.

Enjoy my favourite looks!
